Since several releases, the "send to device" button in the menu has disappeared on my phone.

I was heavily relying on this feature to share stuff between my browsers.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

So... Sadly no real answers.

The feature was added on version 38.

" Send a tab to another connected device with the 'Send to device' option in the "share" menu " (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/android/38.0/releasenotes/)

Bizarrely, the option reappeared, I don't know how.

I just enabled the sync of open-tabs, which has always been disabled.

Hello magnus

Sorry to hear of your challenges. Worry not, we have an add-on that will do this perfectly : send-tab-to-device which allows users of Firefox Sync to remotely open tabs on other Sync-connected devices.

To use this add-on, you must have Firefox Sync configured with two or more machines. Then, once Sync is initialized on Firefox startup, you should be able to right click on any link or anywhere inside a page and see an option to send it to another device. Just click the device you want to send to and the next time that device synchronizes with Firefox Sync, the link should open in a new tab!

This feature will eventually make its way into Firefox/Firefox Sync. Until it is officially ready, you can use this add-on. Once the feature is officially available in Firefox Sync, this add-on will automatically uninstall itself

I'm using the extension available from here on my desktops: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/send-tab-to-device/

First, now it says it is not updated to 41.

Second, my question was related to the android version of Firefox. That one had this feature built in, but it has now been removed and that sucks!
