How to set about:blank as home tab?

more options

Even though "Don't restore after quitting Firefox" is set, a Web site is loaded every time I launch Firefox. It's a site I accessed once but it is not bookmarked nor pinned. (It's not even in "Top sites".) How can I get rid of it? In the Windows version, I have "about:blank" as a home page. I want the same in Android.

Use this addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/newtaburl/

Select the default URL when new tabs are opened.

The options are: "A blank page"(your case), "The home page", "The current page" or a user defined URL.

The add-on you suggested does not seem to be available for Android. I had posted my question in the "Firefox for Android" section and clearly stated that I already knew how to set a blank home page in Firefox for Windows. Aside from knowing how a URL got set as the default home page without my asking for it, what I am mostly asking is: Where is it set? (So that I can clear it.)

I thought the current version of Firefox for Android always opened to the built-in start page (when you don't restore tabs) and that there wasn't yet a way to set a home page. So how is this getting set?!

Maybe a data file has become corrupted? Unlike desktop versions of Firefox, it's difficult to access your profile data on Android so that's a dead end short of re-initializing your mobile Firefox.
