My mail account is on Cox.net and I send it to Thunderbird because it is better and periodically, like once a month my mail in our 2 accounts dissappears.

My main mail account is with cox.net. I forward it to Thunderbird on my account and also my wife's account. For the last 4 months, at least every 3-4 weeks, all of our incoming mail disappears. It is gone from our Thunderbird inbox and also our cox.net inbox. I have gone through my settings and it does not delete mail till I tell it to. I really prefer Thunderbird and I contribute to Mozilla, but I really need to get this problem fixed. I have Thunderbird mail on 5 computers .

Are you using IMAP? It really sounds list Cox is deleting old mail on the server and this change is reflected in the synchronized IMAP account
