I have Firefox ver. 44.0 and everytime I boot up, I get the Macroplant solicitation to buy and download. I don't want it and can't find a way to get rid of the advertisement when I boot up.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

Hi, check your computer programs, and if iexplorer or Macroplant is there, uninstall it. More info.

If not, you can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Thanks for the help. I finally got rid of Macroplant by downloading Reason Core Security free trial and it scanned and fixed it.
