security questions about one of your business partner,pc speedup pro

downloaded, pc speedup pro , and had to call a # to have someone activate the software. the person, who happens to be located in India, said that he had to log into my computer, reluctantly I agreed, after he convinced me that it would be safe. In activating the software he said that my computer was in bad shape internally and it needs fixing immediately. He then proceeded to tell me that I need to take it to a professional to have it fixed then he said that he had someone ,apparently, at his company that can fix it for me for $299, much less that a "geek" would charge. By this time my suspicions were confirmed ,he was trying to sell me other services. I declined. My questions are.

1. Is PC Speedup Pro associated with Firefox and if so, are there any complaints?

2.Should I trust them or remove their software from my computer, bearing in mind that they had an inside look? 3.Can anyone tell me more about pc speedup pro ?

Sorry, but pc speedup pro has nothing to do with Mozilla or the Firefox browser - there is no "partnership" or relationship.

Known purveyor of Malware. Get rid of it! https://malwaretips.com/blogs/pc-speedup-pro-removal/

And change all your passwords that are saved on that computer, just in case 'they' swiped them.
