Firefox is up to date here and has been uninstalled and reinstalled as well as refreshed but the program still crashes occasionally for no obvious reason. I have sent reports of each such crash.

I should have added that the computer has been cleaned twice and no viruses or malware found; this was done with a view to resolving the above problem but it persists.

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

@ the-edmeister:

Thank you for taking the trouble to respond as above.

I'm afraid that this doesn't lead me towards a solution, however, since following your instruction 1. above generates a statement that no crash reports have been submitted; this is despite my having clicked on the report button each time a crash has occurred.

I think that the reason why crash report submission appears not to have yielded results is because our IT support people uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox as part of their endeavours to resolve the problem. That's now been done twice and I'm still getting crashed. Here's the latest reports:
