I often get an arrow that moves from site to site on the search page when I want to scroll down with the down arrow.

Is there a way to be able to scroll smoothly instead of moving from site to site? Sometimes the search results do scroll smoothly but many times they don't.

The infamous blue triangles! Those are an accessibility feature of the page when you have "Instant Predictions" enabled (the default setting).

Last time I checked, Google doesn't have a simple on/off setting for the triangles, but:

  • One possible workaround is to press the Esc key twice, not too quickly together: the first press should focus the search box and the second press should refocus the body of the page. After that, the down arrow key should scroll the page again. Any luck?

I see the scroll results arrow that is added by the Google website to make it easier to scroll through the results How using cursor down behaves is controlled by the script that does the actual scroll, so this depends on the content of each of the items and obviously not all items have the same height.

Thanks. I changed from "instant results" in preferences. I didn't want to have to press esc twice every time this happens.
