Streaming no longer works on certain music sites?
When trying to stream a local radio station WMGK in Philadelphia, I can no longer get connected with audio even though I can listen to ther stations on line, YoTube, etc. Tried using Streema and iHeart, these used to work as well as the WMGK site. I get error messages that the station is not available or I click on 'Listen' but nothing happens. Someone else poosted a similar problem when trying to access WMMR in Philly as well. This has only happened in the last few weeks after some system updates were made. I posted on another thread : 'Why streaming audio has stopped working this morning from a specific website. Works with other browsers'. Have not found a resolution as of yet.

Hi !
Maybe you could try this :
Options => Add-ons => Plugins => Shockwave Flash : Set it to 'Never activate' and see if that will make a difference.

I don't hear sound as well if I visit the website and click the Live Stream button.
You can check the Web Console to see if there is a more specific message.
- "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Web Developer
- https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Tools/Web_Console
The website seems to be using a Flash player, so make sure that the Shockwave Flash plugin is enabled.
You get a Lego block icon at the left end of the location bar that indicates that the web page uses a plugin that Firefox is possibly blocking. You can click this Lego block icon to see what it is about.
Please, scroll down to the section :
'I can't listen live to the online stream' - http://wmgk.com/help/
And then scroll down to the section : 'How to get tech help'
If you have AdBlock or any other blocking extension : try to disable it for this site.
(In Firefox JavaScript is enabled y default)

You inadvertently marked my post as 'Chosen Solution' ...... You can rectify that by clicking on the 'Undo' button to the right of that post, and then mark cor-el's post as 'Chosen Solution'. Thank you in advance !
Sorry, don't see an 'undo' button.

As this thread has been marked as solved, and your problem doesn't really seem to be the same problem the OP had, maybe you'd like to start your own thread and post a new question. You can do that by clicking on the 'Ask a Question' at the top of this page.
Good luck and Happy New year !
