How can I set my homepage as the page to see when I open a new tab? If this is not available in Options, why not?

I set my homepage to Google. When I open a new tab, I want to see my homepage...Google. I cannot find a way to make this happen. If there is a solution, why is it not available in Options?

Hi Devil_Dog,

This used to be a simple config setting in Firefox, but it was removed because of security reasons.

But there is a solution! Try this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-override/

Best regards, BelFox

Option is on the New Tab to turn things off. As to setting it as a homepage I do not think that is available as of yet. If it is it is in the guts of Firefox and all old hacks no longer work. I do not know of the new one yet but the info will come out. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/hide-or-display-content-new-tab'

Note: the addon suggested above does not have all the same features it once did do to Security issues.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
