My Firefox version updated automatically last night, and the interface language has changed. Because I'm based in Italy, the default language is obviously Italian, but I had managed to change the language to English. After the update, the language packs that were installed are no longer valid, and so the interface has reverted to Italian. I cannot find language packs that are compatible with Firefox 58; all links lead to previous versions with will not work with the new Firefox.

Hi  !

As those language packs are no longer compatible with the latest version of Firefox (the developers haven't updated their extensions), maybe it would be best to download the latest Firefox version in the language of your choice from here :

Thanks Happy112.

I had considered that, but I don't want to lose all of my bookmarks, passwords and add-ons etc. Will saving my profile solve this, even if my current version of Firefox is in Italian and not in English?

Good question  !

You might indeed want to back up your Firefox settings, just in case.

Merely uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it again shouldn't cause an issue with your Profile, as the un-installation routine purposely doesn't touch your Profile where all user data and add-ons are stored. But as Happy said, backup your Profile folder just-in-case.

Thank you everyone.

I ended up installing the English language version of Firefox, but have now also downloaded the language packs seeing as they are finally available.
