Whenever I try to watch something on Rabbit in Firefox, the audio sounds like chipmunks on hellium. I've tried everything I can think of.

The website rabb.it is a media streaming website where you can watch all kinds of things with other people. The problem I'm having is that whenever I try to watch, the audio of whatever I'm watching sounds like chipmunks on Hellium sped up 6 times. I've tried reinstalling the browser, I've tried rebooting everything including PC Router and tabs, I've tried reinstalling flash java and media packs, I've tried emailing Rabbit itself and they won't help... I'm at a total loss. It works fine on chrome, but screw chrome. Does anyone possibly know what it could be? Please help me.

Hi, should pick 1 or the other : Ad-Blocker or Adblock Plus as they basically do the same thing. UBlick Origin is stronger and Ghostery does it diff way.

Have you checked this URL : https://letsrabbit.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/221231787-I-can-t-see-hear-someone

Maybe something here :

Try in : SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

Literally none of this did anything to help at all and in fact based on the first couple of "solutions" I'm willing to bet you read none of what I wrote and just threw some sort of standard answer at me that you do for everyone.

Hi, sorry you feel that way. Since you do not and I do not know what is causing the issue as there can be many reasons I give you some diagnostic information. Also Safe mode tells you if it runs in that fine then the issue could be in your Extensions or in your Profile.

We do not send you blindly doing stuff for no reason.

7mins to do this : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 59.0.1 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Before you do the above please check this : there appears to be an issue that only affects users who have turned off cleartype font rendering within their windows settings. So a workaround for the moment would either be to turn cleartype back on or disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/performance-settings

Nope. Still doing it. Although now my youtube is running better so I guess that's something.
