Error message: cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s)
I often get the following error message associated the emails from the same companies like Target or United Airlines-
An error occurred during a connection to www.united.com:443.
Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s).
(Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap)
I have to click "OK" on the error message like 5 times before it goes away.
How can I solve this problem?

What version of Thunderbird are you using?
Thanks for your help. It is Portable Thunderbird 3.1.20.
The portable version is supported by Portable Apps. https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/thunderbird_portable Their first question is going to be why are you using such an ancient version. The latest general del axe is 52.8. It is probably time to upgrade.
Yes, I realized that but the upgrade link in the program kept on giving me an error message so I couldn't automatically upgrade and migrating from one version of Thunderbird to another is a bit of a pain. Anyways, I just downloaded a brand new version and the problem is solved. Thanks for your help.
