In the middle of an active TB session, hyperlinks stopped working. A link can be copied from TB to FF and opened but TB will not open FF or open a link when FF is already open. Also found that Help>Help Contents will also not open. I've done the following:

Verified that FF is the default browser

Checked network.protocol-handler.warn-external preferences with config editor. -default was already set to true. .ftp, .http, and https were set to false: i toggled them and set them to true.

Opened TB with add-ons disabled (safe mode0 with no change in performance.

Downloaded and installed a new version of TB with no change in performance.

So I'm out of ideas -- hope someone can help correct this problem. Thanks.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

If it re occurs I suggest you reboot your computer as a first diagnostic. Links are passed to the operating system and usually intercepted and examined bu your anti virus before going to the default browser. Rebooting initializes your anti virus and that is often what is the problem, not any of the programs you can actually see as being involved.

This is Friday morning, the day after the problem arose. No changes were made after the original post but hyperlinks are now working -- opening Firefox and connecting.

I can't explain why the problem began or why it has disappeared, but for now at least, the issue is resolved. If it reoccurs, I will post once again
