Firefox 64.0 (and earlier) doesn't load web pages when connected to Internet through a VPN
Just installed that latest version of Firefox for MacOS 10.14.2 (Mojave), v.64.0, but NO web sites, even some well-known ones, like apple.com, will load when connected to Internet through VPN. Tried following steps in Troubleshooting, like allowing Firefox to be accessed through firewall and trying to change the configuration to disable IPv6 (but that cannot be done at all in about:config using the instructions on the Troubleshooting page.)
No similar problem when using Safari or Opera or Chrome, only Firefox will not connect to web sites through a VPN - only response is a "Server not found" error message, even for apple.com!

I feel like an a$$ for bothering you, but I just found out there's a new version of my VPN app and, after installing it, am now able to use Firefox and Safari - at least so far, though I've only tried loading apple.com and mozilla.org through the new app.
Please accept my apology for the inconvenience I must have caused everyone who tried to help, especially since, it turns out, it wasn't a Firefox problem :(

So why do you need the VPN if that is just a basic web site?
You should still be able to disable IPv6 via the about:config page.
- network.dns.disableIPv6 = true
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
What happens if you try to open these pages? Do you get the server not found error page or something else or a loading throbber (moving dot) on the tab?

apple.com was just an example to show that this problem exists even on sites that are very popular and have the resources to allow many users to access their sites at the same time with no problems and, therefore, should not be affected when connecting to their sites through a VPN; smaller sites that do not have similar resources, are also affected in the same way but I chose to spotlight Apple due to their technical capabilities.

hi, cor-el,
sorry for the delay in getting back... I was able to access the config controls and to disable IPv6,as you can see from one of the attached screen shots; however, that had no effect on accessing web sites like apple.com which, when I tried, resulted in the throbber throbbing for about one minute before showing the "Trouble finding that site" error page, as seen in the other attached screenshot.
Don't know if this helps you find a solution but, if there's more I can do to help you troubleshoot the problem, let me know. And thanks for your help already!
