Firefox has removed Video Download Helper and add-ons manager doesn't allow me to re-install it (message "download failure" when download OK from elswhere)
A few days ago, I noticed that the Video Download Helper button was removed. Using the add-ons manager I tried to re-install it unsuccessfully The message is "Échec du téléchargement. Veuillez vérifier votre connexion" (download failure. Please check your connection). I checked my connection which is perfect ; downloads from other sites are running correctly I tried to download other download helper modules. The only possible one is "Video Downloader professional" which is not easy to use compared to Video Download Helper. Is there a solution to re-install it ?

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version?cache=no Did you update Firefox to the latest version 66.0.4 May 5, 2019 Fixes add-on certificate issue. 66.0.5 May 7, 2019 Further improvements to re-enable web extensions
or if you can't update;

Hi Fred, Thanks a lot for your advice The automatic FF version update did not propose the 66.0.5 version, but after updating manually using your link, everything is OK now.
Glad to help. Safe Surfing.
