I have been searching since the start of quantum for solution to two problems. 1, i don't like tabs. There is a damned function for this built into my OS. Thanks but i'll pass. 2, My machine, I choose when I update stuff, NOT you. Can't disable updates, can't get around the nagging door hanger. Firefox is just not fun or easy anymore. You've clearly decided that we don't deserve choice, and choice is LITERALLY the only reason anyone would go to a browser than can barely stay in the top 3. Why is it so important to mozilla for these things to persist?

If you hate tabs, I have an add-on for you: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/i-hate-tabs-sdi-for-firefox/

Software updates are important to keep you and the web safe from malware and its misbehavior.

FYI, Firefox has moved to a monthly major update schedule to push out more features; if you aren't interested in new features, check out the Extended Support Release: Switch to Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) for personal use.

ESR doesn't directly migrate your accumulated Firefox profile data; it may show you a fresh installation profile. You can copy some files (and/or use a Firefox Account to Sync key data) to populate the new profile. See:
