Wanted TB 64x update. Changed install folder to Programs. Acting like a brand new install; how to recover emails?

Evidently I was running 32bit TB on my 64x laptop (TB in Programs (x86)). I downloaded TB64x, but changed the install folder to Programs on install. Instead of updating, it's acting like a new install, and I'm afraid it overwrote old profile & email. How do I recover?

The same way as just about everyone who takes it upon themselves to get the worse version of Thunderbird (I believe 32 bit has less registry related issues)

I discuss the issue here https://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com/2019/09/i-lost-my-profilemail-on-update-to.html

it is all part of this https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/dedicated-profile-thunderbird-installation
