Dissappointed with Firefox's so called "privacy friendly" browser marketing :(
Hi everyone. I've been using Firefox since the very early days of its existence and always loved it until now. (Still loving it but disappointed in one aspect!) I wanted to checked my network activity with this software "TCPview" and once I run Firefo, I realize that Firefox connects to Google / Amazon related Domains :( After a quick search on the net, I found out that the domains (1e100.net) are actually Google! Once I log into my Firefox account, more Amazon and Google connections start. Down below are some of the connections that I see on TCPview:
sof02s32-in-f1.1e100.net sof02s32-in-f3.1e100.net sof02s32-in-f14.1e100.net
ec2-44-229-115-174.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com 33.64.98.34.bc.googleusercontent.com 82.221.107.34.bc.googleusercontent.com ssllabs.com
server-143-204-103-53.fra50.r.cloudfront.net ghs-vip-any-c46.ghs.ssl.googlehosted.com
So how come Firefox, supposedly the most privacy conscious browser, uses Google for checking malware? I disabled safe browsing and is still connects to Google domains and I can not disable these connections on Firewall! I can't stand these companies (Amazon, FB, Google, etc) and trying to stay away from them as much as possible but my long time trusted browser is giving away my data to them! If you tell me this is aggregate / anonymous data, please don't make me laugh. We all know Google and Amazon are pure evil companies when it comes to privacy. (Google stealing people's wifi, sharing data with the Govt's, etc) Anyways, pretty frustrated as we can't trust no god damn service on the internet anymore. Pissed off... :( Check the attached pictures...

Hi, I had placed this question as well but on my Mac O.S. I use D.O.H I only have ec2-44-229-115-174.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com or a variation of that connection. Be sure to close all browser tabs wait a few like 5 minutes for connections to die off. You should see the Amazon connection still established.
I have no answer as to why the Amazon connection is maintained without any connection and I would also like to know its function.
The Amazon AWS servers and Cloudfront servers are used to store data that isn't included in Firefox because they are large or change content regularly. This is similar to CDN servers and allows to make updated data available to all supported Firefox versions. Google servers are mainly use for phishing protection (safe browsing) data.
Thanks a lot for the reply. What kind of data are they storing than? My Home page is blank page now but was Duckduckgo before. First, I thought maybe Duckduckgo is the reason but than I changed the home page to a blank page and still, once Firefox is run, my computer starts exchanging data with Amazon, Google. :( I disable safe browsing and supposedly it should solve the problem with at least Google but it doesn't. I still see the same servers/addresses when monitoring the network.
