I've made a mess of my stored emails
Hello, I moved my emails to a backup hard drive using a process that created an index file allowing me to view all of the stored emails (See uploaded image for an example of the top of the index file). This has created a problem and I need to get these emails back on to the current Thunderbird setup on my working HD and save them in the archive file created by Thunderbird. There doesn't seem to be an obvious way to do that. Am I missing something about moving these emails back or is this a permanent situation?
Also, before I came across this process I stored the entire Thunderbird folder on a backup hard drive and I can't open it like Thunderbird on my working HD. I would like to transfer those emails to the current archive file as well.
Thank you
Regards, John

Besides the index file, are there messages stored as individual eml files? They can be imported to TB by drag and drop from Explorer to a subfolder of Local Folders. If you have the profile backup, mail is stored in mbox files - one file per folder, with no file extension, named after the folder. Close TB, open the Mail/Local Folders location of the current profile folder, and copy in the mbox files from the backup. Restart TB and find the folders under Local Folders in the Folder Pane.
