Hey, While I was surfing today I've been taken to a survey titled "Firefox browser survey 2022" and there I was asked some questions then it took me to a window where there was a prize and I was directed to scan the QR code. This survey was taken place on the following link: www.funkyoffer.net I'm here to ask whether this survey was carried out by FireFox or this is a spam/scam?

Hi

I believe that what you are seeing was a scam and not organised by Mozilla. I recommend that you do not complete it.

Firefox itself is the name of the web browsers for desktop, Android and iOS. Mozilla is the company.

Mozilla has never provided so called prizes to random Firefox users. There has been various variations of this scam like say you won a current high end Android or iPhone or a $100 gift card from say Amazon after doing a fake survey was a common one for a long while. Basically these scams try to trick people into giving out sensitive personal information like name, address, phone#, email, and credit card info to supposedly pay cheap $1-3 shipping.

Mozilla for example has used surveygizmo for surveys on the support.mozilla.org site that can occasionally popup, not sure if they still do. They never gave out prizes for doing this though
