the downloads icon in toolbar (the one that says, "Display the progress of ongoing downloads" when hovering cursor over it) keeps randomly opening and showing me the files that have downloaded as if i clicked on it. my cursor is nowhere near the icon, so no accidental clicking on it. and it seems to happen when I'm not touching the keyboard, mouse or trackpad. it just pops open. and there are not current downloads--just a list of files that have already been downloaded. odd...

Thanks for replying! Yes, i've cleared my history but it still pops up (empty, of course). Weird.

Re. settings, i'm unaware, and haven't found, any settings that would seem to moderate this behavior.

It's definitely a glitch/bug. I've been using FF since the very early days, in 2003 and never seen this issue before.

Anyway, thanks again for you input.
