Hello, I very recently bought a new laptop and I am trying to set up Thunderbird to access my mail server. I still using my old machine so I have used it to copy the POP3 info etc. But Thunderbird doesn't like anything I've entered. It initially came up with "GoDaddy" connections which I have no connection with at all, so I set up the incoming and outgoing manually copying, exactly from my old laptop, but no success. This is really frustrating. Any suggestions?

if thunderbird is on both PCs, try this - exit thunderbird from both - copy c:\users\<yourid>\appdata\roaming\thunderbird to a USB stick - on new pc, copy to c:\users\<yourid>\appdata\roaming - you will be prompted for overwrites. Allow - start TB on new PC and all accounts should be there.

Thanks, it is a very large file maybe 30 min to download to a usb, but I'll give it a try. Yes it worked, also brought everything else, which is what I had in mind to do at some point, thanks again!
