It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating situation where McAfee keeps sending persistent security alerts like "System Alert" and "Virus Attack." It's great that you're reaching out for help, and you're definitely not alone in facing this issue. These frequent alerts can often be caused by actual threats, outdated software, or even false positives due to system glitches.
As a solution, I’d recommend running a full system scan with McAfee to ensure there are no real threats. If everything is clear but the alerts persist, you might want to try uninstalling and reinstalling the software to resolve any possible bugs. Also, double-check if you have any other antivirus programs running, as conflicts between multiple security programs can trigger these constant alerts. Clearing your browser’s cache and checking for unwanted extensions might also help if the alerts appear when browsing.
I appreciate your proactive approach in addressing this it shows you're being cautious about your system's security, which is always a good practice.
I don't have it installed on my computer and it only triggers when I'm in Firefox. I've sort of solved the problem by just turning off "Alert Notifications" but I don't think this is the best solution.

Do you even have McAfee installed on your Windows?
Are these little popups on bottom corner as these could just be Web Push Notifications from one or more sites you have allowed to send notifications. Some istes may send fake virus or McAfee/Norton etc virus alerts. You can revoke for specific sites.
