Can I change the icons on bookmarks? I changed computers and exported then imported my bookmarks, and all of the icons disappeared. A few came back when I went to those sites, but most are stuck as the blank page icon. Can I change them myself? Where is the information about them kept?

It is obscure ... took me days to figure it out.

The site specific bookmarks, like TD bank, Weather office, Home Depot, etc ... are all saved as cookies.

So....

set firefox to accept cookies. Have it delete them when the cookies expire. Now go to all your favorite sites ... if they have an icon, the icon will load as the site does, and add itself to the bookmark.

Now you have the cookies there for these icons, and they will not expire for a long time. exit and then fire up firefox, they should all be there. Now change the security to whatever you want.... delete cookies after firefox closes ... always run a a private session (saves no cookies at all) ... whatever security you add at this point will not erase the cookies you saved last time, unless you deliberately erase them, of course.

Some new site has a neat icon ... repeat the process, and it will be saved too.

I downloaded Favicon Picker 3, but I don't get it. Where do I get the icons? Am I doing something wrong?
