go to the Cool Previews site and download the latest version. They were aware of the siren problem and this latest version fixes the problem. The siren will go away after downloading and restarting fox

Not sure whats up but thats all i hear
asimovsky, a Guest in the mozillaZine forums had the same problem, and after turning off all add-ons one by one, discovered that the source of the siren-problem was CoolPreviews, then uninstalling this should solve the problem, worked for me. Congratulations to Guest.
I am having the same problem, has anyone found a solution?
It's due to Pac-Man 30th anniversary! Even i you don't have a Google page opened, it's sound because one of the page you have open right now in Firefox must be feed in part from Google. Open a Google page and you will see the Google logo inside a Pac-Man like maze. If you click on "insert piece(s)", you can play a game...I thought that by playing one and winning, it would end the sound.... but it did not.... I wonder how we stop it?
Why am I getting these weird game sounds everytime I open Mozilla Firefox browser but not when I open other browsers.
No stop ?
the problem is the cool previews add on it somehow links to google, I uninstalled and it fixed the problem for me hope this helps someone else
I have the same problem. Uninstalled CoolPreviews. Restarted Firefox. The siren is gone. Will miss CoolPreviews. Used it a lot.
