What message do you see now when you try to open Hotmail? If it's a site specific issue, clearing cookies and cache might help. If not, then try removing Firefox from your Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet trusted programs list, and then re-adding it, because it often solves web access issues that appear after Firefox update.
