I was using Foxit reader and uninstalled it, how do I get firefox to use Adobe now? (It keeps trying to use the deleted program)
I tried Foxit reader to see if I liked it better than Adobe and then decided to delete it. But now it keeps trying to use the deleted program and I cannot get firefox back to using Adobe. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both firefox and Adobe reader and the problem is still there.

Thank you very much! I tried fooling with the applications but I missed that part. Thanks again. Matt
This link is to a solution for file downloads and other behaviors. How does it relate to fixing this foxit reader problem?
It is not entirely for downloads, but for every action with a file that has a MIME type that Firefox can't process directly and needs to be handled by a plugin. PDF files fall in that category.

No help, I am afraid, but I have similartroubles. I have uninstalled Foxit but it is still there as the default pdf reader that internet looks for, and I get massages to say that Foxit Reader won't open so I cannot read any pdf files from internet. I shall have to delete Firefox and go back to Internet explorer where Adobe still seems to be operating!
Go to Tools, Options, Applications. Go down the list to Foxit and click Always Ask. Then check Adobe Reader. Click Save and you are done.
