When I click on the PDF folder link in this website

a new Fircefox window loads but no PDF is there.

At first the screen goes black, tells me it's done, the grabhand icon shows but then the page goes white but no PDF can be seen.... :-(

Please help. I checked my settings and there are no pop up blockers etc. If I load the page via Internet Explorer, it opens fine from the same computer.

does this problem occr on all websites or just this one? Looking at your system details it looks like your Adobe plugin is an old version

could you please visit PluginCheck to make sure that all of your plugins are upto date?

I updated all plugins but the Quicktime. I don't want Quick time, I don't use Quick time, I don't want I tunes or any link to it nor that this programme runs in the background. No matter what you do to counter these avtivities from FT, it run in the background and try to link to iTunes....once you install it.

I use an alternative to QT.

Please do not tell me I have to use these plug ins to open a PDF!

The flashplayer is installed, but again, I really don't want to use flash and adobe too much as it is a bulky heavy programme. I use cutePDF to make and read pdf or Fox-it.

Any PDF opens fine.

In internet explorer the link opens fine. It is Mozilla Firefox that's not co-operating......

Your above posted system details show outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks that you should update.

  1. Shockwave Flash 10.0 r45

Update the Flash plugin to the latest version.

You have an old Adobe Acrobat plugin that probably doesn't open PDF files in a Firefox tab.

  1. Adobe Acrobat Plug-In Version 5.00 for Netscape

Disable (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins) or uninstall that plugin.
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Issues_related_to_plugins#Identifying_installed_plugins

You can install the latest version of the Adobe Reader
