When I open email in AOL after about three seconds a BING search window opens and won't let me see the email. I can read them in IE.

When I open AOL email in Firefox, I get the list of emails but when I open any of them a search screen for "bing" opens on my screen and won't let me see the email. If I open the email in Internet Explorer I can read the emails. It has a link that starts "parent.dijit..." How do I rid the software of this?

Open Tools/Add-ons/Extensions and look for "Search Toolbar 1.2". It is Zugo search toolbar augmented by Bing.com,. Disabling or uninstalling it will remove the problem. Others have said search for the Bing extension or plug-in but I didn't have that installed. The fix I describe above did the trick.
