I've tried to open my firefox but it keeps giving the error I explained above. Yes, I did read the articles about it and I have scaned my laptop (no virus) and I also downloaded Malwarebytes and scanned my laptop with that as well but it does not work and also according to another article on here I have tried to fix it through the safmode but it won't start. I even tried removing and reinstalling firefox. Nothing is working. PLEASE HELP ME :( I use firefox 3.6.13 It was fine till today! :(

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

See:

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

  • Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
  • Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

The problem is the dafemod start window doesn't start at all! Therefore, I am not able to fix it through there.
