Every time I turn my computer on I get a box wanting me to download version 2. I click on that & a page comes up wanting me to download firefox 4, becausr it's better. I already have that downloaded What do I do, can't seem to get firefox downloaded so I can get emails. Thanks, Larry

On which page do you end up?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)
