FF 3-6-17, some time ago new tabs stopped opening when I press OPEN NEW TAB button. Same with C^T, right mouse button menu choice. At that OPEN IN NEW TAB works properly. I'm surprised :(.

The Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Uninstall that extension.
