Each time I run the Firefox, it chooses "Automatic Proxy Configuration URL:" with the address: "http://www.smscut.com/proxy.pac" automatically at the start-up for the option "Configure how Firefox connects to internet" in the advanced options. I would like to have "No Proxy" chosen at the start-up. How can I do this?

@ go to Help Menu -> select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled"

Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. You can enable the Add-ons later.

If @ solution doen't work then try following solutions and whichever setting works, keep it Permanent:

1) go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> click "Settings..." button infront of Connection -> select option2 -> Click OK -> OK

2) go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> click "Settings..." button infront of Connection -> select option3 -> Click OK -> OK

3) go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> click "Settings..." button infront of Connection -> select option1 -> Click OK -> OK

Check which solution works.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Thank you for your time friends but these solutions did not work. I remember I installed the software "SonicProxy". After that I have this problem. I removed it from my computer but I still have it.

Dear Friends! None of the above solutions worked. I did something else. I make a new profile in Firefox, but I lost all my saved informations like passwords bookmarks and add-ons. You can make a new profile for your firefox in this way:

1- Close your firfox

2- Go to Start > Run

3- type there "firefox.exe -P" and push OK.

4- Now you can make a new profile and delete the previous one.

WARNING: In this way you will lose all your information like saved passwords, Add-ons and bookmarks. You can use the backup for bookmarks to have them again.
