I need to customize Firefox about:config settings for network deployment. I have found some old tutorials, mainly the one found at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locking_preferences , these however look like they are for older versions. I cannot find some of the mentioned files on my computer, such as local-settings.js . I need to deploy Firefox on a network but configure and lock down settings for users. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks.

You need to create those two files yourself if you want to lock prefs or set new default values.

The file local-settings.js should be in the \defaults\pref folder and the with rot-13 obfuscated file file mozilla.cfg in the main Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\)
