System Requirements for 0.0Firefox states that 32bit and 64 bit versions of Windows Vista can be used to run Firefox 6.0, but only 32 bits of Firefox are supported at this time.

My desktop is 64bits. there is no reason for me to download something that is not supported. Why keep pestering me?

When will the 64bits be supported?

The 32-bit version of Firefox works fine on 64-bit systems. A 64-bit Windows version of Firefox should be available in Firefox 9 or 1o, early next year.

Thank you for answering, but I checked with the computer guru who services my computer. He suggested that I download the 32bit to my laptop. He further suggested that I use another browser for my desktop.

I think I will follow his advice. Next year when 9 or 10 comes out an either one is supported , then I will probably come back to Firefox.

Thanks anyway

I'm using Firefox 9 right now and am loving the 64-bit experience.

Sounds good. I checked out 7beta and am interested in downloading it. But there is a warning about virus, etc. How true is that??

I finally installed 7beta. So far so good, except it doesn't use Goggle.

Thanks for your help. Nice talking to all of you
