If you want to merge a lot of JSON backups then easiest is to use a second profile and copy and paste the bookmarks from the Library in one profile (where you restore each JSON backup) to the Library in the other profile (your current default profile).

Both profiles need to be open at the same time to make that possible, so you need to start the second instance with the -no-remote command line switch.
