When I went to the website, a notification popped up, and I was told the certificate expired on 12/30/2011 and it is now 1/5/2012. Can someone please help me make the certificate up to date again?

Web servers should update their certificates in time to avoid such issues.

If you still have that problem then try to contact the website via email and ask them when they will have a new certificate.

Thank you for your response. I should mention that I can get into this particular website and has worked just fine ever since the notification. I am just wondering, given light that I can still get into the website, if the error message was inadvertent? or if it is possible the certificate is still expired?

Best,

Dan

Can you post a link?

www.aol.com has a certificates that is valid from 10 November 2011 until 9 November 2013, so that isn't a certificate that expired recently.
