Not all bookmarks show up with an icon. For those that don't is there a way to add one?

I finally got rid of IE8 after too numerous problems. But in IE8, even pages that had no icon associated with that web page displayed a default image of the IE icon imposed on top of a file icon. But in Firefox, all that shows is a dotted box.

Also, many pages that have icons in IE8 do not show up in Firefox, even after repeating loadings.

Just curious to know if there is a way to add an icon to replace those dotted boxes.

No clue where this "Solved it' link to click on is supposed to be, there is no such option or even the words "Solved it' on this page. There is a "Helpful" and a "Not Helpful" button to the side of your reply, but no "Solved it" anywhere.

Solution did not work. I uninstalled/reinstalled, exited, opened, exited, rebooted... and checked the plug :) Only few favicons load that were originally loading. Also tried using about:config which didn't work either. If I click on the link and allow firefox to load the favicon with the page, it appears and will stay, for awhile.
