Firefox shut down and now it will not open - just the 'embarrasing' msg appears and the little color wheel just spins. I've unchecked the tabs and even trashed Firefox and re-downloaded but still the same thing. Have tried now about 10x

The message box will have an option [start new session] try clicking that.

If that fails you may need to delete sessionstore.js and its coppies and backups to get the sytem working again, but lets try the obvious solution first.
