Currently when I click an email link in a webpage I get an error message saying no default email program has been set. How do I do it?

I know to go to Options Applications, but all that are listed in the dropdown are Gmail and Yahoo! mail. I use Windows Live Messenger under Firefox

Thanks!

Thanks Cor-el! Under Default Programs no mail programs are listed - not Windows Live Mail, which I use. There are maybe 12 programs listed, but a mail program isn't on there. I can't figure out how to add to the list; do you know?

I think as a result of that, under Options Applications Mailto in Foxfire, Windows Live Messenger is not on the list

Are you using the online Hotmail (live.com) service or a program on the computer?
