Hey wbliss,

If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.

There is also a lot of useful stuff in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) Knowledge Base article. If you've recently upgraded, you might want to check out this article as well.

Hopefully this helps!

Looks like a problem with Direct3D, so make sure that you've installed the latest D3D software.

Otherwise you probably have have no other option then keeping hardware acceleration disabled.

Wouldn't a Direct 3D Problem be solved by loading the latest Catalyst driver for my Radeon 6850 video card?

I got to extensions Add-ons manager and there are several messages. HP Smart Web Printing is incompatible with Firefox 10.0.2.(disabled) Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant 1.2.1 is incompatible with Firefox 10.0.2.(disabled) ZoneAlarm Security Engine is incompatible with Firefox 10.0.2. (disabled) I need these addons to work. What to do?

Absolutely nothing in the Firefox crashes Knowledge Base article applies or fixes my problem.

Troubleshooting extensions and themes is not helping either.

I'm also having the same problem with a computer at work. It is also running XP, and also has 6 core processor: an AMD Phenom II X6 1035T, on some motherboard with integrated radeon 3000 graphics.

Hi geraldmitchell, this thread is a bit old now. Check out the discussion in this newer thread on a similar point: Firefox crashes when using Google as startpage.

If that doesn't help, could you start a new question listing your system information and add-ons?
