I turn firefox on normally like i did thoundsand times before, i type google.com, press enter, it just loading for a second and keep staying on the start page. No matter what link i try to connect, firefox keep loading for a second and then stay on the start page. Generally, i can't connect to internet with firefox. I'm using Chrome to post this question, i really like firefox, but right know i dont know how to fix this problem. Before update, firefox work normally, i never have any issues with firefox in the past. I already try to uninstall and reinstall, not working.

normally such issues are caused by firewalls/security software which doesn't recognize & blocks new firefox versions: Fix problems connecting to websites after updating Firefox

same issue for me, Firefox auto updated to 19.0.2, and i can no longer use it to access the internet. Just shows a blank page, if you click on a shortcut it tries for a second, then goes back to the blank page.

Can open local documents fine, but will not go to online urls.

Its as if it is stuck in work offline mode, but the work offline option is not showing as selected.

All other browsers are OK so its not internet connectivity issues.

As above, never had an issue with firefox before this version.

I'm using FF 19.0 and FF wil not start sometimes. I never get a message about not being able to connect to the server. A blank screen doesn't even coe up.

I ticked "no proxy", and that didn't help at all. This started about a week ago. I have to shut down the computer (Ubuntu 12.04), wait about 30 seconds, then boot it. Sometimes this works, sometimes, I shut it down, and start it all over.

HELP!

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

See:

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

I've a similar problem.

FF updated this morning.

Single tab won't go anywhere.

Fired up my 'tabbed' save session. None of the tabs will load unless I click on them, and even then some won't load at all. I left it for an hour loading tabs (about 18) while I went out, got back and nothing had loaded even though the loading graphic is swirling around! There also a good second delay in every letter appearing when typing on any webpage. Which makes entering text just painful!

I had none of these problems before today's update?? Now FF is completely unusable...
