Can't type URLs in Safe Mode or with New Profile

On a windows 2003 domain, computer with Windows 7 and folder redirection has reported that they can no longer type URLs in the address bar and hit enter. I've verified this complaint and reproduced it in the user's account both in safe mode and with a new profile. I tried removing files from the profile manually as well as creating an entire new profile with the FireFox profile manager. None of this has worked at all. Pages can be loaded from bookmarks, but not from the URL bar.

Google loads as the homepage and one can click on links from there.

If I login as a different user (admin) on the computer, Firefox appears to work normally, so I don't believe it is an application issue. Despite my doubts, I uninstalled Firefox (using Ninite Pro) and then installed Firefox (using Ninite Pro). No change was detected, as expected.

The question remains - if it isn't user profile related (proven by creating a new profile), and the application works for another user on the same computer - what data is stored outside of the Firefox profile that could be causing this problem even in safe mode?

There's a problem with Firefox 20 and roaming Profiles in Windows server domains. A fix should be released (chem-spill 20.0.1) this coming week.

No problem with 'local' Profiles.
