I have gone through many of the posted fixes like reloads, resets, opening in safe mode, removing all cookies for this site, etc. and nothing is working to stop this. The main page of the website doesn't load all the links or linked pages. Is the problem with my computer and my settings, or with the website itself. It is a Yahoo/Rivals website and its worked until I had to install Java yesterday. Any ideas? Thanks!

Generally speaking, this indicates either a problem on the site, or that you use an add-on or external software that is blocking/filtering a script. If you give the site address, someone here could check and see whether they have the same problem.

Whoops, I don't have a login for that site. Hopefully someone else can take a look.

You can check the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer;Ctrl+Shift+K) for error about loading this script.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
