Can anybody make sense of these crash reports and possibly give me some idea about what I can do to resolve this problem. I have reset Firefox after the last crash last night but is there other things I can do if it crashes again. Here are my crash reports: I have also done all the other things mentioned in Firefox help, ie updates, plug ins etc.

A few weeks ago, I also had a problem with Firefox crashing at least once per day.

I usually have up to 20 tabs open, but suddenly a few weeks ago, it started crashing when previously, it wasn't a problem. I did the usual disk cleanups and virus scans, but no change to the crashing. I checked Task Manager and FF seemed to be using far more memory than it should.

I disabled all add-ons and extensions. Result: no change.

I finally just uninstalled FF, deleted anything related to Mozilla, and reinstalled FF. Result: it worked fine.

Hi scousemax

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox (you need to close and restart Firefox).

  • Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You can check for corrupted and duplicate fonts and other font issues:

Thank you MisterBee and cor-el for your replys, I was starting to give up any hope of a reply. I thought as I am running Mavericks on my mac that only having 4Gb of ram could be a problem so I have added another 8Gb . Luckily there have not been any further crashes since the last one I mentioned in the first posting, so I'm keeping fingers crossed.

I will go through all your suggestions, but it might be best that I do a complete re-installation if it crashes again as I am not really computer savvy and may cause further problems if I start fiddling about. Getting back to my original post, can anybody glean any clues from the crash reports?.

windows 7 -(me) blue screens, crashed 1 day-46 times. C:\windows\System32\catroot2\dberr.txt

Instead of telling my scans to ignore it, I deleted it after I saw it.-Looks like an ink blot, instead of something you can read
This is a laptop & I just typed that into the search box after clicking start
