Firefox is blocking me from accessing one of my affiliate accounts. I have tried everything I can think of. It says the page is not redirecting properly.

Firefox is blocking me from accessing one of my affiliate accounts. I have tried everything I can think of. I have read the forum q&a with no luck. I am told by Firefox that the website is redirecting in such a way that it will never complete. I have contacted the site (login.linkshare.com) they say problem with my browser.

Hi jorfriday, I cannot reach that site in other browsers either. Is there another url that the domain can be reached? Perhaps the sso login page? https://login.linkshare.com/sso/login?service=http%3A%2F%2Fcli.links...

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.

  • check the permissions on the about:permissions page and in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If clearing cookies didn't help then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies got corrupted.

  • Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

I tried every other e mail address I have and still cannot log in. I think this could be their problem but they are not interested in investigating. I have a computer guru coming by on Monday to give a hand. Thanks for your help. Edit email forum guidelines
