Hello,

I have had this problem for several months, but now I am determined to fix it. I work in IT and I am completely comfortable deleting registry keys as a last resort to fix problems. This is the first time I have been legitimately stuck! Firefox opens a window for about a nano-second, crashes, and then the Mozilla Crash Reporter appears. I tried the %APPDATA% trick and all the other fixes I could find.

Thanks in advance for the help.

hi Vipre, thanks for posting with a crash id - unfortunately this crash may be caused by websense endpoint security software that is running on a device. in case your computer is part of a managed enterprise environment, please get in contact with your it department about this issue. more information is available in bug 1181091.

in a larger enterprise using the extended support release (esr) version of firefox, which receives security updates but feature updates only once every 10 months, might also be a better option compatibility-wise: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/

Philipp, thank you. You may be correct as I can see that at least Websense TRITON AP-ENDPOINT Web Diagnostics Tool is installed on this computer.
