I am currently using ff 4.0, but have tested the following with 3.6.18 and 5.0.1. When i go to a website, my address bar stays blank. Here is what i have tried so far. I went into the safe mode, and the urls appeared, they worked fine there. I went back to regular, disabled all add-ons and plugins, restarted and the address bar was blank. I went to options and disabled (use hardware acceleration when available), no urls in address bar. Went to appearance and set to default.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.

Does anyone have any other ideas. I would apprecite them very much.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

  • Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
  • Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
