Why is Firefox connecting to Nord VPN when I don't have the extension / use Nord VPN
Hi!
Little Snitch just popped up letting me know what Firefox has recently connected to Nord VPN
There's been 11 connections to cm.nordvpn.com and 1 to nordvpn.com and it also connected to nordvpn-com-blog.disqus.com.
A little concerning as I use Proton VPN which is currently off?
Can anyone assist?
Many thanks

Hi all, thank you for the help. I reached out to NordVPN on Twitter and they confirmed these sites were probably loaded via an ad/embed on a site I'd visited. I was a little concerned as I know Nord is a VPN service so it confused me a little - but it seems the visits were harmless. Thanks again!

Hi, thanks for the reply! Unfortunately the problem is that I’m not a Nord VPN member nor have I ever used them or downloaded any apps - so configuring isn’t an option because as far as I’m aware I’ve never used them.
If Little Snitch is showing that info, then I would think to ask their support since Firefox is not showing anything. Did you see anything in about:network or the networking console about nordvpn? I would also run Firefox in Safe Mode for sometime to see if Little Snitch reports the same thing.
