Thunderbird needs to allow users to SEE their passwords when entering them, a simple "see" or "can't see" toggle as most other password entry screens have would solve so many problems to know your password is correct. Most of the time no one is around when I enter my password. Plus in this day and age we are forced to use more and more complicated passwords.

Also making a suggestion to Mozilla seems to be impossible with a bunch of hoops to jump thru to just make a suggestion or state a problem. I don't think joining a forum, logging onto an account helps and most users will just NOT say anything. it's just too much trouble.

enhancement requests are actually made and tracked in bugzilla. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org

I can not find a request there such as you describe, but I doubt it will fly as they appear to be going the other way. Recently imposing a requirement you enter the system password (or fingerprint for touch devices) to display the saved passwords in the password manager. Having a button that retired it's own password to act sort of defeats the purpose I would have said. But personally I agree with you.

Does not make sense when you're alone in a room, especially when people are creating password this is needed. Too easy in this day and age for a key to not press correctly or just old age and you make mistakes Then all of a sudden you do this a few times and you're locked out of some accounts or get the Google capsha crap. Too much security ends up forcing people away from using something.

Thanks at for your response anyway
